UMM SUQUEIMis an older & established area and can be quite beautiful in places and mainly peaceful, once you get behind Jumeirah Beach Road. It is split into 3 parts Um Suqeim 1,2 & 3- the further you go up the roads in a Jebel Ali directions. Houses & villas on the seaside side of the Beach Road are on the beach- or almost- as close as you can get in Dubai. On the other side, it is quiet and about as green as Dubai gets with well established gardens and parks as well as shops & restaurants.
